Hello, my name is Jason.  I'm currently in U1 at U of M and am thinking of going into biosystem engineering and then specializing in the Environment option for biosystems.

Anyways I'm mainly into Soul Calibur and a bit of tekken.  I hope to see you guys at some gatherings or hopefully at some tournaments if I have enough free time.

Hi, my name is Sam, I've been semi-lurking the SRK for a while, I can't believe I haven't found this site before.

I play Killer Instict.. but I'm primarily a 'mahvel-head' and have been desperately trying to learn 3s / cvs2.  I also bought GGXXAC after I heard the soundtrack, and now I am somewhat hooked on the game itself, I still suck at it, FRCs look good on paper, but not so good when I can't pull the damn things off.

Hello everyone, I've just recently become interested in fighting games so it's great to find out that there's actually
a local group that's into them as well.

I'm currently playing a lot of 3rd Strike but I'm open to trying out any games that you guys suggest and with
Street Fighter IV (PC version!), Blazblue and King of Fighters XII coming out it looks like I'll be busy indeed.  :D

I should probably look into getting a stick as I've been playing with a keyboard up until now. Any suggestions
on what to buy or should I just make my own?

Lastly, do any of you guys play on GGPO or 2df at all? I wonder how much lag there is when playing local people...

I don't play on ggpo or 2df anymore with HDR out.  I try not to play people in the city very often as its a lot better to just meet up in person and get matches in that way.  If you want to play contact me on msn or something and I'll set something up

I do play on 2DF from time to time, usually only 3rd Strike. But, like nYo, now that ST:HD is out, I play that mostly.

Hi everyone my name David and never played any game competitively and thought I'd try get good at fighting games since I use to love them when I was a kid.  I started looking into the fighting game scene when STHD was announced and looking into stuff at SRK, I bought a HRAP2SA and modded it by adding a Xbox 360 pcb to it.  Of course I'm terrible on the stick not having touched one in a long time and street fighter as well since I haven't put to much time into it yet since my top priority at the moment is getting a job.  Being a college graduate and jobless sucks  :-[.  I was surprised I didn't find this place until recently and to think that this city had a fighting game community  :o.  I hope to be part of the community when I get my top priority out of the way and not totally suck at street fighter lol.

I hope you get to come out and join us for gaming some time.  We'll be doing quite a few events in the next year and we've been meeting up to play st:hd a lot lately.  So come on out when you can.  Good luck on your job search.

hi there. moved to the city/country a year ago. fighting game fanatic. been playing SF2 since 1992. retarded for fighting games, especially SFA3, SSF2T (haven't pirated played HD remix yet), SF3:TS, Tekken (3, Tag, 4, 5), SSB:M, and CvS2. not into MvC2, because the exploits ruin the balance.

was really bummed out that there wasn't an arcade scene in this city. just found out about you guys. if you guys stay active, I'll pretty much always participate.

Hey mushroom blue, sounds like you've had a ton of experience, at least compared to me :P. Looking forward to you kicking my ass. Hope you can make it out to our SF4 Launch Tournament.

Welcome to the city, mushroom blue, do you have another name I can call you since I hate calling people by their nicknames? Hope to see you out at some gatherings and tournaments. I would like to see what skills you got in ST and 3S, and eventually SFIV.

Just wonderin though, how'd you hear about us?
WHO DOES THAT!?

Hey guys,
Just a little introduction, my name is John, and I recently got back into the fighting game genre thanks to ST:HD on the xbox 360. I have always been a fan of street fighter ever since I played my first game on a street fighter 2 coin-op in a nearby convenience store....so many years ago...
I never really knew that Winnipeg had any kind of fighting game community until I stumbled upon you guys while lurking on the SRK forums.

With SFIV so close on the horizon, I thought this may be a good time to get into the local scene a little more seriously, there's only so much you can play the nameless/faceless people over the internet, right?

The SFIV release tourney that is planned sounds interesting, I may have to come down, take a look at the very least...
